Professional driving instruction that begins the moment you decide you're ready. We prepare you not just to pass the Kansas drive test — but to drive confidently for life.
Whether you're preparing for your first drive, need to refresh your skills, or are helping someone else get behind the wheel — we have a program built for your exact situation.
One-on-one, in-car instruction with a patient, certified instructor. Learn real-world driving skills — parallel parking, highway merging, defensive techniques — in the vehicle you'll actually drive.
Master the Kansas driver's handbook with our structured study program. We cover road signs, traffic laws, right-of-way rules, and the exact question formats you'll see on the test — so you walk in confident and walk out licensed.
Choose the pace that works for you. Private sessions offer focused attention, while group lessons provide a collaborative learning environment — ideal for families, teams, or community organizations.
Rust Driving School was founded on a simple belief: every person deserves to drive with confidence and safety. Located in the heart of Wichita, we've spent over a decade helping teens, adults, and families navigate the journey to licensure — and beyond.
Our approach is different because your needs are different. We don't treat every student the same. Whether you're a nervous first-time driver, a parent preparing your teenager, or an adult returning to the road, we tailor each lesson to your pace, your goals, and your comfort level.
Call us or fill out the contact form below. Tell us about your situation — your experience level, your goals, and your schedule preferences. We'll recommend the right program for you.
If you're new to driving, we'll start with written exam prep so you understand the rules of the road before you ever get behind the wheel. You'll study at your own pace with our materials.
Your hands-on lessons begin. Behind the wheel, you'll practice real driving skills in progressively challenging conditions — parking lots, city streets, highways, and night driving.
Once you're ready, we'll schedule your Kansas drive test. With our preparation, most students pass on their first attempt — and they drive away with the confidence to keep going.
I was terrified of driving — honestly, I thought I'd never get my license. The instructor at Rust was so patient and made me feel safe from the very first lesson. Now I drive to college every day without a second thought.
My son needed driver's ed and we were overwhelmed by all the options. Rust made everything simple — clear pricing, flexible scheduling, and an instructor who actually cared about his progress. He passed his test on the first try.
I hadn't driven in over ten years and needed to get back behind the wheel for my new job. They didn't judge me — they just taught me. Six lessons later, I'm commuting daily with total confidence.
